| The Kirtle was a simple gown with sleeves which derived from the medieval
tunic.During the 15th C. it was worn by lower class women as upper gown,
while upper class ladies used it as an undergown. This pattern is for a Kirtle
with detachable (optional) long or short sleeves. The package also includes
historical details.
