Shaped like this your Bergère takes you from Rococo to Regency!

Typical 18th century lady's hat with wide brim and low crown. The name is said to derive from the group of women who wore these hats first - the shepherdesses (Bergère = french for shepherdess). The style became a favourite among european women and remained in use well into the early decades of the 19th century.

Crown (diameter) ca. 15 cm (6"), overall diameter ca. 50 cm (20"). This is a natural product, dimensions may vary slightly from piece to piece.
